Frequently Asked Questions

What documents will I need to buy property in Dubai?

For property purchases, you’ll need specific documents. UAE residents must provide a passport, Emirates ID, and visa. For non-residents, a passport is sufficient.

A 10% security deposit of the purchase price is also required at the time of agreement. This can be provided through:

  • Personal cheque – Available for Dubai-based banks only and held without being cashed until transfer.

  • Third-party cheque – For those without a personal cheque, an undertaking letter is needed.

  • Bank transfer – Direct to the real estate agency if preferred.
