Frequently Asked Questions
What if the tenancy contract is not under my name, can I still sponsor my parents under the Family Visa?
1. If the contract is in your spouse’s name: Yes. You can still apply for your parents' visa by providing your Attested Marriage Certificate alongside your spouse's Ejari. This proves you are a single household unit.
2. If the contract is in your sibling’s name: It is more difficult. Usually, the sibling whose name is on the contract would need to be the one to sponsor the parents. However, if you are the one meeting the AED 20,000 salary requirement, you may need to apply for a "Joint Housing" or "Family Proof" letter from the Dubai Land Department or obtain a notarized Affidavit of Support and Accommodation to prove your parents will reside with you in that property.
3. If you own the property (Investor Visa): If you are a property owner, your Title Deed acts as your proof of accommodation. You do not need a tenancy contract. As of 2026, even if the property is valued below AED 750,000, sole owners can use their Title Deed to sponsor parents, provided their monthly income meets the threshold.
