What documents are required for sponsoring my family under the Dubai Golden Visa?
The following documents are required for the 10-year Dubai Golden Visa, 5-year Retirement Visa, and 2-year Investor Visa:
Sponsor’s Documents

Passport copy and residence visa copy.

If the mother is the sponsor: NOC letter from the father, notarized, for boys below 18 years and girls below 21 years.

If the father is the sponsor: Proof of the mother’s status (copy of her residence visa or Emirates ID).
Dependent’s Documents

Clear color scan of passport (valid for more than 6 months).

Clear color scan of previous residence visa (if applicable).

Birth certificate – legalized by:
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs (home country)
- UAE Embassy in the home country
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE
- Legal Arabic translation
If birth certificate is unavailable: Letter from the relevant consulate confirming the relationship, attested by MOFA and translated into Arabic.
- The letter must start with: “This is to confirm…” or “This is to clarify…”
- Must mention both mother’s and father’s names.
- High-quality digital photo meeting ICP specifications.
Note: The property owner visa holders (10 years ) along with the retirement visa holders (5 years) can sponsor their dependents (boys & girls) for the same duration as the sponsor’s visa validity as long as they’re not married.
Spouse’s Documents
- Marriage certificate – legalized by:
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs (home country)
- UAE Embassy in the home country
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE
- Legal Arabic translation
- If marriage certificate is unavailable: Letter from the relevant consulate proving the relationship, attested by MOFA and translated into Arabic.
- The letter must start with: “This is to confirm…” or “This is to clarify…”
Along with the documents for sponsors, dependants, and spouses, applicants from Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Libya, or Afghanistan need a National ID.
