How often must I pay rent? Is there a rule if we did not agree on payment dates?

Rent is paid on the dates agreed in the tenancy contract. However, under Article 12 of Law No. 26 of 2007, where no payment dates are agreed, rent must be paid annually in four equal installments in advance. This is the default legal position if nothing is specified in the contract.
