Frequently Asked Questions
Can a Muslim include a non-Muslim beneficiary in their will?
Under the 2024 Personal Status Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 41 of 2024), wills involving beneficiaries of different religions are now explicitly recognised. However, under traditional Sharia rules, a non-Muslim cannot directly inherit from a Muslim estate. Legal advice is strongly recommended in these situations.
