Frequently Asked Questions

Can a non-Muslim expat disinherit a family member or leave everything to one person?

Yes. Non-Muslims have complete freedom to include or exclude any person from their estate. You can leave everything to a single child, a friend, or a charity. However, this is only possible through a properly registered will. Without a will, the statutory formula applies automatically.
