Where can I register a will in the UAE?
There are three main registration routes in the UAE:
- DIFC Wills Service Centre (Dubai): for non-Muslims only; English language; covers all UAE and worldwide assets; common law framework; probate in English
- Dubai Courts (Notary Public): for non-Muslims; bilingual Arabic-English will; covers all UAE assets; more affordable than DIFC
- Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD): open to both Muslims and non-Muslims; covers all UAE assets; most affordable option
