Frequently Asked Questions
Who can own property in Dubai?
UAE nationals can own property anywhere in Dubai. Foreign nationals can buy and own property in designated freehold areas such as Dubai Marina, Downtown Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, and Jumeirah Village Circle. Outside freehold zones, non-UAE nationals can only lease for up to 99 years.
Owning property in Dubai may also entitle you to a long-term residency visa. See the 10-Year Golden Visa guide (for property worth AED 2M+), the 5-Year Retirement Visa guide (AED 1M+ for those aged 55+), or the 2-Year Property Investor Visa guide (AED 750K+) for eligibility and application steps.
Upload your Title Deed to Prosper and the platform will automatically tell you which property visa — Golden Visa, Retirement Visa, or Investor Visa — you are eligible for, based on your property value.
