Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a will in the UAE?

While it is not legally mandatory, having a registered will is strongly recommended for anyone who owns property, holds bank accounts, or has dependents in the UAE.

Without a will, your assets may be distributed in a way that does not reflect your wishes, and your family could face months of legal delays and financial uncertainty.

This is especially important if your UAE property is linked to a 10-Year Golden Visa, 5-Year Retirement Visa, or 2-Year Property Investor Visa. In the event of the primary visa holder's death, family members may face complications — a registered will with a named executor significantly reduces that risk.
