Frequently Asked Questions

Does my tenancy contract need to be registered?

Yes. All tenancy contracts in Dubai must be registered with RERA through the Ejari system. Either the tenant or the landlord can complete this registration. An unregistered contract may not be legally enforceable.

Want to know exactly how to register? You can create a new Ejari contract as a tenant on Dubai REST or as a property owner on Dubai REST — both guides walk you step by step through the process.

Once your Ejari and tenancy contract are registered, upload them to Prosper to unlock your personalised property dashboard — with lease tracking, renewal automation, payment reminders, and market benchmarking, all in one place.
